1. The Assumptive Close
This technique works by acting as if the buyer has already said yes. You’re not being aggressive, you’re showing confidence, and helping them take the natural next step.
Example:
“Awesome! Would you prefer delivery to your office or your home address?”
Why it works: It bypasses the hesitation loop by positioning the decision as already made. For many buyers, this creates a sense of momentum and removes decision fatigue.

2. The Summary Close
This close is all about reminding the prospect of the full value they’re getting, just before you ask for the commitment.
Example:
“So you’re getting 24/7 support, a 20% discount, and full onboarding included, does that sound good to get started?”
Why it works: When people hear all the benefits summarized at once, it reinforces the value in their mind. It also gives them a moment of clarity, which is often what they need to say yes.

3. The Question Close
Rather than pushing for a hard yes, this technique invites feedback and surfaces any final concerns.
Example:
“Is there anything holding you back from moving forward today?”
Why it works: This open question gives the buyer space to voice objections, or in many cases, confirm that they’re ready to go. It feels more like a conversation than a pitch.
Many of our new sales students use this to get over the fear of closing. It keeps the pressure low, while still moving things forward.
4. The Urgency Close
This close introduces a legitimate reason to act now, such as a deadline, limited spots, or a time-sensitive bonus.
Example:
“This offer expires Friday, would you like me to lock in your spot today?”
Why it works: Urgency taps into human psychology. When something is scarce or limited, we naturally prioritize it. But beware- be truthful. Fake urgency can seriously damage trust.

5. The Objection Close
Instead of avoiding objections, this close brings them front and center, and reframes them into a reason to move forward.
Example:
“I hear that the price feels high. But based on the ROI we discussed, would you say it’s still a smart investment long-term?”
Why it works: You're acknowledging the objection, not dismissing it. But you're also re-positioning the conversation around value, where it belongs.
